This course trains the student to the required assessed level of competency in first aid procedures, techniques and legislation in order that as a qualified first aider they may assist the employer in conforming to the Health & Safety (first aid) Regulations 1981 and current Approved Code of Practice and Guidance. |
Content |
Assessing the need for and the practical application of resuscitation; Recognition and management of common major or minor illnesses; The movement of a casualty safely as required by the circumstances of the incident and the workplace. On successful completion of the intern and final assessments, the candidate will be awarded a Certificate of Proficiency, which remains valid for a period of 3 years.
